Presently
we have two females, Noel and Acee. Noel came to us from Hawaii
in 2005 and has been a wonderful addition to
our family ever since, she is the light of our
lives. Our newest addition is from our
first litter, Acee. We are a small, home based breeder of the Japanese
Spitz, bred for temperament as well as beauty. Puppies
which are available occasionally, are carefully socialized in a
home environment - extremely important to a well-rounded
personality as a puppy and adult dog
.
“Noel”
The
Japanese Spitz size varies from 11 ˝ to 15 inches in height
and weighs between 13 to 25 pounds.
The females tend to run smaller
in
size and weight while the males run in the higher
range. Their profuse double coat is not
difficult to care for as they have a 'tephlon'
coating that dirt will fall off of them once
they are dried. A good brushing helps
keep their coat looking fuller. Much like
cats, the Japanese spitz does not like to be
dirty, they will clean their coat regularly.
The Japanese
Spitz does not require a lot of exercise, but will love
a daily walk. They are surprisingly fast and can jump
very high for their size, and this should be taken into
consideration when choosing fence heights.
We
have been blessed with our first litter born
October 7, 2007 to our Noel. She was mated
to Meeko of Midwest Japanese Spitz and they
have produced a wonderful litter of 4 puppies.
